About me
Nelson Ambrogio, President Radiology at Bayer, is a global healthcare leader with a career spanning more than 25 years with Bayer. Before joining Radiology in the beginning of 2024, he has been leading the Oncology Franchise for Bayer Pharmaceuticals in the United States, overseeing a portfolio of cancer treatments that spans prostate cancer, precision oncology and gastrointestinal tumors. Prior to his appointment as Head of Oncology, Ambrogio led the Women’s Healthcare Business Unit for Bayer in the United States.
Nelson Ambrogio started his career with Schering AG, which Bayer acquired in 2006, and has held commercial leadership roles of increasing responsibility across North and South America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. His achievements include successful launches of blockbuster drugs in cardiovascular and ophthalmology, across mature and emerging markets. His broad experience also includes regional and global positions at Bayer’s headquarters.
Nelson Ambrogio earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Universidad del Valle de Mexico and completed an executive MBA program from the Business School Sao Paulo in Brazil. He is married with four children.
