David Shrier is a serial entrepreneur and globally renowned advisor on digital acceleration. He has extensive technology innovation experience, having led $11 billion of growth initiatives and taken a company public on the NYSE. He runs venture studio Visionary Future, where he has backed 5 unicorns and where he incubated Phorum. In addition to his startup work, David moonlights as a Professor of Practice (AI and Innovation) with Imperial College London (the #2 university in the world), where he is co-Director of the Trusted AI Alliance. He also is a Visiting Scholar with MIT's School of Engineering. His academic innovation work directly led to over $1 billion of income and endowment for MIT, Harvard and Oxford. David also has been heavily involved with technology policy, having worked with over 100 governments on enabling regulations and serving on the advisory committee for the EU AI Act. His most recent book is Welcome to AI: A Human Guide to Artificial Intelligence (2024) from Harvard Business Publishing.
